José Angel Santana, PhD is an educator and artist at the intersection where performance and human relations meet – toward the goal of conscious performance of human actions in a way that leads to mutual understanding – operating with an empathetic approach that intends to engage people to bridge the gaps that divide them.

Santana's attention and heuristic research focuses on the relation between performance and human relations with a conviction that art practice adds value to understanding how to resolve the conflicts of our lives, bridging the distances that result from superficial differences, and help people to live in harmony with one another.

He works between New York, Florence, and Paris, often collaborating with artist-educator Marisol Santana, EdD, Founder, Tesol Drama International
